Grounding

We are pleased to bring you our first unique full Reiki Masters Day which will enrich and  enhance your Reiki knowledge and practice.

Life can be very busy at times. It’s easy to accumulate stress, and hard to recharge the batteries. When we are low on energy, difficult situations throw us off balance. It is therefore very important to be grounded, like a mountain, so when life is battering us, we can offer a better response to the events. Our mind is calmer, our body more relaxed, and we suffer less.

For these reasons, I thought it would be interesting to make “Grounding the main theme of this day.

There will be practical exercises in pairs and groups, as well as moments of practice, and a few brief explanations of some main concepts, along with a little bit of context.

All the exercises and the material come from the traditional Usui Reiki Method, and respect the tradition of the Western and Japanese lineages I have inherited by training at the Reiki Academy, and with the International House of Reiki.

I will make sure the program is calibrated to be varied, with a good alternation between moments of practice and exercises, sitting and standing, so that everyone will be able to enjoy themselves.

It will be fun, interesting, respectful and safe, and hopefully everyone will take something with them at the end of the day, to integrate in their personal practice, and cope a little better when rough times come along.

The schedule will include (amongst other things):

  • Joshin Kokyu-ho, Symbol, and Hatsurei-ho meditations
  • Tanden and Kenyoku-ho exercises in pairs
  • Chanting meditation
  • Reiju and Attunement group exercises
  • Reiki Share and Treatment exchange
  • Practicing the Great Light Mantra

I hope you will join us for a wonderful day together, sharing this precious gift that is Reiki.

With love and light,

Fabrizio Romano

What you need to know before the workshop

Please know the four Reiki symbols, their mantra, and their kotodama, by heart. This is very important because we will use them extensively during the workshop, and if you want to benefit from the various exercises, your mind needs to focus on the exercise, and not on how to draw a particular symbol, or pronounce its mantra.

You might want to brush up on attunements and Reiju. If you do, please know that on the day, I’ll be covering the extended/Frans Stiene version of the Reiju, as explained in your Reiki Master manuals.

How to prepare body and mind for the workshop

Please take what follows as a gentle suggestion. Only do what feels right for you at this time, and don’t reduce any prescribed medication.

You might want to gently detox your body. Even if you’re not vegetarian, you might find it beneficial to cut back on meat, and instead eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables for a few days prior the workshop.

Drink plenty of water, and maybe reduce your alcohol intake (ideally to 0). If you feel like it, please also try to cut back on cigarettes, sugary things and caffeine, if you make regular use of such things.

To prepare your mind, try to take some time for yourself. Take a walk in fresh air, relax, and most importantly, practice meditation every day, if you can, even if it is just for a few minutes.
